Kids Hunting For a Cure Hosts Youth Deer Hunt To Benefit Cancer Research

On October 26 and 27, Kids Hunting For a Cure is hosting its first annual fundraiser event at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The weekend of family entertainment will include a youth deer hunt, vendor booths, concert performances, auctions, food, prizes, games, lawn mower races and hunting instruction. Event registration is from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm on Friday.

On Saturday, experienced hunters will guide kids on free private land deer hunts. Between the morning and evening hunts, kids can participate in archery and .22 rifle shoots and have the opportunity to learn about field dressing and treestand safety. There will also be a hunter safety review on Friday evening to prepare for the big hunt.

Some auction items include a car, a Bad Boy Buggie, guns, trailcams, treestands, and elk, deer, caribou and turkey hunts across the nation. Proceeds from the benefit will be donated to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Russel Hill Cancer Foundation.

If you would like to donate an auction item, be a hunt guide, volunteer to help, look at the event schedule, or sign your child up for the free hunt, please call Ben Reddington at (256) 783-4904 or visit www.kidshuntingforacure.org.

Kids Hunting For a Cure is a non-profit organization which provides financial support to research hospitals/foundations dedicated to developing cures for cancer and childhood diseases. Monies are raised by children and adults through community-sponsored outdoor events designed for youth.
