Right now is a great time to hunt the scrapes, mock or real. BUT, you need to hunt them WITH the moon. The easiest way to do that is to see what time the moon is directly over head. Right now about 9 am, and hunt the area 2 hours prior till 2 hours after that. Then if you can 12 hours later. The solunar tables tell you these times but you will need to adjust for your area. Keep your mock scrape fresh too. If you don't freshen it like a real buck would then the dominant buck will get the idea that your just a passer through buck and not worry about you alot. The fresher your scrape the more irritated the boss buck will get and the more he will be around to check on it.
